Kiooinsitu started in 2018 when a father and daughter began creating handmade jewellery together from home. What started as a shared passion for creating beautiful jewellery soon grew into a small family business.
In 2020, during the Covid pandemic, we launched our online store and were thrilled to share our creations with customers across South Africa. Since then, we've had the privilege of meeting wonderful customers both online and at markets, many of whom return year after year.
Today, we continue to create handmade freshwater pearl, crushed gemstone and polymer clay jewellery, with every piece designed and crafted with care and attention to detail.
We believe beauty can be found in both perfection and imperfection. We are reusing odd freshwater pearls and incorporating crushed pearls and gemstones into our designs, these pieces are inspired by the idea that even when life breaks things open, there is still beauty to be found within.
One of the greatest rewards is seeing customers return, whether they are looking for something new, searching for a matching piece, or bringing back a treasured item for repair. These relationships are what make Kiooinsitu so special and remind us why we love what we do.
From our home workshop to local markets, art festivals and customers across South Africa, our journey has always been about creating jewellery that people love to wear, gift and treasure.
